Episode I - Hunters Guild - Quest Information |

An old quest from the DC version, with a few slight differences. It's still fun none the less. Once you find the shrinking terminals, you have to make a tough decision. Who is going to be small. When you are small, your walking speed cuts in half, and you can't cast any techniques. It is highly recommended that if you only have one force on your team, that they are not the small person. If you have a ranger, then they could be the small person. They are still as effective when small. Hunters would still have to run up to the enemies. Make sure that you protect them with Shifta and Deband if you can. And heal them as well. They won't be able to run away, if things get tough. A gun is the best weapon to use when your small, and you still want to fight.

If you are just doing the main quest then, go west. If you want some lillies, go east into the next room. You can't do anything else in this room just yet, and you don't need to come here again if you are doing the main quest. |

Just follow the line until you get to room 1. If you want to unlock the "treasure room" (a room with about 15 boxes), then destroy the first terminal you come to. It's directly on your path, just after the forked room containing the first NPC. Room 1 - This is where you first come across the shrinking machines. Unlock the door to the east and step on the left most machine and press A. You now have one of two options:
- If you are not unlocking the treasure room, then one person should become small. They should go to the long room and go through the boulders
- If you are going to unlock the treasure room, get someone to shrink and go back to the long room. Take the west door and follow it into the next room. Kill the enemies whilst the small person catches up. Get the small person to go through the boulders and activate the bomb switch. This will let the big people to go and destroy the terminal in the next room. They should then backtrack to the second forked room, with the second NPC. The final computer terminal is on the right hand path.
Room 2 - The small person should first activate the bomb switch, so that the big people can come through. They should then go and deactivate the gates. The big people should go and activate the door switch to the next level. One person should stay small.

Room 1 - The small person should activate the numbered switch, whilst the others defend them. They should move under the gate into the south room and activate the last switch to open the door. They should start running west and wait for the others to activate the switch.
- Activating any other switch than the numbered one, will result in a little explostion that damages all the players.
Room 2 - Quite a few Sinows in this room. The little person should wait until the others have cleared this room before going through the door. Once the big people have killed all the enemies, they should proceed straight into the next room.
Room 3 - Once the little person enters this room, a few Canadines and a Garanz will appear. This is why the others should enter this room first. The little person should head straight for the gate switch on the left. The other switch will plunge the room into darkness. Once the enemies have been defeated the little person should head south, where they can become big again for the next room.
Incidently, this next room contains a LOT of sinows. Be ready with Jellen and Zalure forces, or this can be a very painful room. Room 4 - Everyone should head north whilst they are still big and clear it. One person should come back and get small, then proceed to the warp.
A heal ring is located to the west after going through the warp. Room 5 - Another dangerous room. It has a few Garanz and is another room full of Sinows. The little person should make a bee line for the gate switch in the north-west corner. The others should run to them, as they would have taken quite a battering. Once the room has been cleared, everyone should drop a telepipe, and go to get shrunk in the room to the north.
Everyone should get a gun, or fast ranged weapon for the next room. High EDK is also a must. Stock up on mates and get ready for the next room. Room 6 - This room is filled to the brim with pop-up traps. Gifoie, foie, gibarta traps, and a few megid traps (bet you're glad you got your resist/dark slots now ;) ) towards the far end of the room. In order to unlock the opposite door, you need to destroy the tubes behind the computer terminals. There are 6 tubes in this room, 2 are trapped. To destroy the tubes, you must destroy the computer terminal in front of them. Look at the map to see which ones are trapped. Every time you destroy a tube, more traps are activated. You just need to be careful of the megid traps near the far door.
Once you have destroyed all of the correct tubes, proceed into the next room. Destroy the main terminal, and the quest is complete. A door has just opened near where you went under the gate to enter this room. It's contains a warp to Pioneer 2. |
