Sony's PSP in the near future.</FONT></P><P><FONT face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The game will be exactly the same as <EM>Phantasy Star Universe</EM> (And it's new Expansion Pack - <EM>Ambition of Illuminus</EM> )currently stands on PC, PlayStation2 &amp; Xbox360, except without the online play. In that's place is wireless 4 player multiplayer, and some more&nbsp;mission bits and story points.</FONT></P><P><FONT face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The game however is not being developed by Sonic Team, but instead being produced by that famous Japanese developer 'Alpha System'. Should be good eh?</FONT></P><P><FONT face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The game currently titled '<EM>Phantasy Star Portable</EM>' (Funnyily enough abbreviated as PSP) should give <EM>Universe</EM> fanatics something to run to the shops for in 2008!</FONT></P>

Not exactly Phantasy star online, but i beleive phantasy star universe is a good bet for a portable console........in a few months let's see ho this thing goes.

Still think they should've put PSO on it instead with more features... Then I'd have a reason to actually use my stupid PSP.

True, true. But the lack of online play pretty much kills it for me...
I wonder if someone has emulated PSO on PSP yet?

It's possible, I guess... Though I must say the four-player wireless on this does sound pretty fun. But if they include word select I shall faint.

do you think they may try something like this for the DS? i mean it is plausible to get pso 1 and 2 to work on it i.e using the stylus to move/attack in the good 'ol 3 strike method. i think it'd work!

Two words. Graphical Limitations. The DS doesn't have the visual power to support PSO (I remember hearing it has N64 graphics) which are 64 bit. The Dreamcast, which PSO originated on, was a 128 bit console, as is the Gamecube.
