This is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen in my life. If you haven't seen it, I'd suggest you rent it NOW! I would hope most of the people on this forum who are from England have seen it just because of the fact it's a British movie, but even if you haven't there's still time! I just had to tell you all about one of the coolest movies ever.

"Get out of here you electric donkey bottom batter! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries! Now leave before I have to taunt you a second time!"

o_O

Monty Python is soooooo funny. I love the Rabit of Doom with big pointed teeth *imitates rabbit teeth with fingers*.

njdss4
14-03-2004, 07:43 PM
The killer rabbit rules. One other funny part is when all the hand drawn characters are being chased by that monster, and right when it looks like the monster will eat them, the artist has a heart attack. Hilarious!! All should watch it!

Leader of the Knights of Ni - " For your next quest you must find... Another Shrubbery! Creating a nice two layered effect so i can have a path down the middle..."

King Arthur - "Another Shrubbery!? No!"

Leader of the Knights of Ni - "Very well, your next quest will be... To cut down a tree with a herring!"

King Arthur - "Cut down a tree with a herring?! No!"

Leader of the Knights of Ni - " Oh go on please..."

Lol~ Holy Grail is so funny ^____________^

Master of the Bridge: "What... is the flying velocity of a sparrow?"
King Arthur: "African or European?"
Master of the Bridge: "Well I don't know that." *AHHHHHHHH as he is flying off the bridge*

This is probably the funniest movie of all time. Although it is tied with Airplane 1/2 and a lot of movies like Robin Hood Men in Tights.

The movie is hilaious one of the best comadiesive ever seen

"Death awaits you all with sharp, pionty teeth"

did you watch the japanese translation

"we seek the gient golden sakie cup!"

njdss4
16-03-2004, 12:56 AM
Oh, no, Schoichet, are you joking? Did they really mutilate that word when translated into Japanese? Or are you just being funny? I would be very disappointed and humored if Holy Grail translates into giant sake cup.

decswxaqz
16-03-2004, 01:48 AM
Yes they did. You ought to see the spam song in Japanese...

I was looking for it one day. And to my utter amazement got Japanese subtitles! o_O

there is no word for "grail" in japanise, its a cristion thing

njdss4
17-03-2004, 06:30 AM
Wow, I never knew that. It just doesn't seem to have the same meaning when you say Giant Sake Cup. Sounds the same as Huge Beer Can or something to that effect. Well, you learn something new every day... except for yesterday, it was a bad day.

O what a great film this is! Also i need mention that this film recently won a vote for the best film of all time..or best film on DVD..something like that!

Anyways, if anyone does have the DVD, its got a great extra on it where they've reinacted the scene with all the knights dancing around in the castle of camelot in LEGO! So funny. So many moments!

"They all ran from the giant monster who was sure to catch them when suddenly the animator has a fatal heart attack, and the monster vanishes!" :P

When school is almost over, I shall bring the Holy movie to school and we shall all see the great film with all the people who have never witnessed it. It's weird though, Holy Grail has been just as much fun to talk about as it was to watch.

Lionheart
03-05-2004, 03:30 AM
indeed it has, but dont forget, Mrs Rhew is goin to show it to my AP class after the AP test (on thurs). Sometime after that were gonna have a foreign films binge so its gonna be shown sometime then, i cant wait!

15-05-2004, 01:48 PM
i just borrowed this off my friend and its amazing. i love the swordfight part with the guy guarding the bridge thats amazing, o and im glad rabbits like that dont exist.!!!!!!!!

Lionheart
15-05-2004, 04:20 PM
oh the black knight? yeah he's great, "GET BACK HERE!! ill bite your kneecaps off!" lmao. And the holy hand grenade on the rabbit "ONLY on the count of 3. Not 2, not 4, on 3. If you throw on 2, that is too soon, if you wait til 4, youve waited too long..." lol. "1, 2, 4!"

all the monty pythons are great. just in canada i havent seen it for dvd yet. as this country has lots of strict rules for those kinda things. must be great to live somewhere else where u can get things that we cant get.

Lionheart
16-05-2004, 04:37 PM
why would they have restrictions on Monty Python films? that doesnt make any sense, theres nothing bad about them...

DARKMATTER
16-05-2004, 06:20 PM
canadas pretty bad for restrictions. there are even games we cant even get ova here, cause of the dam bilaws and stuff.

Lionheart
17-05-2004, 05:42 AM
that really sucks.... i cant beleive canada is so strict.

"Master of the Bridge: "What... is the flying velocity of a sparrow?"

This is probably the funniest movie of all time. Although it is tied with Airplane 1/2 and a lot of movies like Robin Hood Men in Tights."

Jesus, its been so long I forgot how to quote, anyways I though it was:

"What...is your name?"

"I am King Arthur, King of the Britins!"

"What...is your quest?"

"I seek the Holy Grail!"

"What...is the air speed velocity of any unladden swallow?"

"Are you talking about African...or European?"

"What? I don't know tha-AHHHHHHHHHHHH!*sploosh*"

Lionheart
18-05-2004, 03:07 AM
yeah that sounds about perfect :D

njdss4
22-05-2004, 04:16 AM
Oh god i talk about that scene with my friends all the time. Whenever someone asks something that sounds like one of those questions we break out into that scene. Holy Grail is indeed Holy.

Lionheart
22-05-2004, 04:24 AM
yep, im one of those friends he was talking about and it is indeed true we make reference to that part often.!

njdss4
22-05-2004, 09:21 PM
One thing I want to do is to ditch Econ to come see that movie when you (lionheart) see it in school. I want to but I probably won't. Oh well.

Lionheart
23-05-2004, 05:45 PM
hmmmm i think you shall...*plots to kill Mr. Albert-our Econ teacher-but remembers how great a man he is-not to mention he could slay me in an instant* But you could afford to miss 2 days of Alberts class to come to Rhews and see Holy Grail for yet another time.

njdss4
23-05-2004, 10:06 PM
Actually I can't if he marks me absent it means more community service for me and I don't want 4-8 more hours of work just to see a two hour movie. I'll watch it at lunch at Rhew's or something.

Lionheart
24-05-2004, 12:54 AM
or i can borrow it from dan and let you take it.

njdss4
24-05-2004, 02:30 AM
Well I do own the movie but I want to watch it with other people for once. Every time I've watched it so far it's been by myself so I don't feel like doing that anymore.

Lionheart
24-05-2004, 03:15 AM
yeah its far more enjoyable in a crowd.

njdss4
25-05-2004, 05:55 AM
Well Leo bought Monty Python's Meaning of Life so we could watch that. That one's hilarious as well.

Lionheart
25-05-2004, 09:42 PM
yeah....and life of brian thats good too. monty python is just a genius lets leave it at that!

njdss4
26-05-2004, 03:37 AM
Yeah the guy's that make up Monty Python are hilarious and ingenius. I'll leave it at that.

Lionheart
26-05-2004, 04:02 AM
To me, his name IS Monty Python.

njdss4
28-05-2004, 06:09 AM
Oops. I meant to say "guys" not "guy's". If you didn't know, Lionheart, there is no Monty Python. The GUYS who make up the group decided to come up with some really weird name that had nothing to do with the show they were putting on which would be called (as most of you know), "Monty Python's Flying Circus".

Lionheart
28-05-2004, 09:36 PM
well bad news...mrs rhew isnt showing it >< DAMMIT! she thinks that its something we can see on our own and her point in showing these foreign films is to open our interests to things we wouldnt normally see.

njdss4
29-05-2004, 10:19 PM
>.< That sucks. Well if you come to school the last week when we don't really have to be there I can bring it and we can watch it in her room anyway. Then we can shake our fists at her and rub it in her face.

Lionheart
30-05-2004, 02:17 AM
the last week is finals...up til grad and she leaves the day before grad so we cant do that...thats gonna be sad, she cant even see us graduate...

njdss4
30-05-2004, 02:57 AM
Oh yeah she's leaving for that trip. -.- Whatever. I hope she has fun in Japan.

Lionheart
30-05-2004, 05:49 PM
