Summer is here, and with it being August it's almost over for another year. Here in Europe the weather was nowhere near as bright as it was last year which probabily everyone remembers. Last year we were covered in heat waves, restless nights, and surrounded by fans (And not the kind that cheer you on) where as this year it was more usual. Rain, followed by sun, followed by rain, followed by sun, followed by a bit more rain! As i type this its bloody hot but the sun is nowhere to be seen! Why am i talking about the weather, this is a Phantasy Star website isnt it? No doubt you're asking. Well no i'm not going to give you a summary of this weekends weather and tell you where to go on holiday. Instead i'm talking of the somewhat strangest quest thats currently available online for Hunters of all ages and numbers to enjoy, put up for the sole reason to celebrate the ending of summer. If you're a Phantasy Star Online regular, then you will know about the quest 'Festivities At The Beach', the name for this years seaside quest. People online last year may remember the quest entitled 'Resting At The Beach' which was exactly the same. It involved taking time out, maybe with a friend or two, and playing around on the beach at night-time. This year is the same! If you're bored with nothing to do, then this is a good time to explore the quest. Its also better then a lobby for sitting around and chatting. The quest' Festivities At the Beach' entails you to do nothing. There is no EXP available for all budding monster slayers out there (Unless triggered). Sorry Guys, try 'TTF' or 'TRT'! Entering the quest, you will find everything closed onboard Pioneer 2, with only teleporters available which takes you down to the SeaSide Area of Episode II. All is calm, quiet, and you can hear the sea making those swishy splashy noises some people find relaxing. There's no annoying Gee's here... hurrah! Instead all you find is a big campfire... and some rocks. This is what i mean. Take the time here instead of a lobby to chat with all your friends, or just explore the beach at night. If you're wondering if there's anything else to do... well... there is one more thing. As a bonus for the quest, certain words that you type out (Either by using a Keyboard or by using the On-Screen Keyboard) result in little event happenings on the beach. For example, by typing the word beach, you get instantly teleported to the front of the beach. Other commands you can control include firewords, meteors, and music changes! For this special Summer edition of the Hunter's Gazette, i've gathered commands, found either by myself, or other Ragol.co.uk Forum members. So grab a pen and paper... or grab some paper to jam into your printer, and make a note of the little commands below...

Yellow Glowball Lights appear on characters By typing any of these words in, the event listed beside them occur. Why not also try and find others, and let us know about them on our forums? (Links Below). Finally make a note of what you say because if the word is part of another word then the event still occurs (For example Yesterday contains the word Yes so SFX will play!). This is a great quest and should be enjoyed by all who can. Whether you are playing the Nintendo Gamecube or Xbox versions of Phantasy Star Online, Episodes I & II, simply log online, get into a lobby, into a game (With upto 3 friends), go to the Hunters guild, and choose the Limited Event Quest 'Festivities At The Beach'. To my knowledge the quest dissappears from the servers at the end of August.
Also i will take this time in the Hunters Gazette to discuss a few Ragol.co.uk matters! Note to all this will not get boring, honest! Your feedback is appreciated. Phantasy Star Online, Episode III: C.A.R.D. Doubles Tournament |
|
Soon, Ragol.co.uk will host their first ever official Phantasy Star Online, Episode III: C.A.R.D. Doubles Tournament. All who come here often will no doubt remember our Episodes I & II Battle Tournaments we've held in the past, most of which have gone down with success, and we want this 1st Episode III Tournament to be just as successful as the first Episode I & II Battle Tournament. To do this we value your feedback, so please let us know what you'd like to see in this tournament, and please express your feelings about it in our forums (Link below). Also take the time to vote if you're interested via. the poll on the Ragol.co.uk frontpage. It doesn't matter if you're a member of the forum or not, you can still take part when the time comes. Phantasy Star Online, Episodes I & II Music Compilation? |
|
Secondly, recently i made my own music compilation of the best Episode III tunes currently available (Online & Offline). I'd just like to thank all those who have given me feedback either by E-Mail or via. the forums, i honestly can't say i saw that coming! Accompanying these E-Mails and replies are requests for an Episodes I & II theme compliation much to the same tone as the Episode III package. If you would like to see such an item appear on the website then please let me know as it's seriously being thought through. Again contact either by E-mail or the forum! Unfortunately, this marks the end of the 2nd Ragol.co.uk Hunters Gazette. Thanks for taking the time to read through this new regular feature on Ragol.co.uk. Maybe you were bored and thought reading this would make the time fly, or maybe you decided to read this because it's better then mowing the lawn. Either way i thank you for your time! If there's anything you wish to discuss further after reading through this then as i've said about twenty times already... USE THE FORUMS! Until next fortnight, Sayonara Folks!
