Taking it to the MAX!

Ragol.co.uk Presents The Episode III Battle League 2!

In this edition of the Hunters Gazette, we present to you the return of last years successful Episode III Battle League, so dont go cancelling your Gamecube Hunters License just yet!

Part 1: Ragol.co.uk Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution Battle League 2

Last year we held our first ever Battle League competition, and was a huge success, with many entries and loads of great and memorable matches, alongside a very close finish being just a couple of reasons to why we're holding another!

You may think it's a bit stupid of us to be holding such an event now, especially with the recent release of Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst and the even more recent Episode IV release, you'd in fact be thinking Episode III is pretty much dead, with it not being as popular as the first installments of PSO in the first place. Well going back to the previous poll we held on Ragol.co.uk, many of you said you'd like to see another Battle League taking over from last years, well here's your chance! We're sure you'd love to rewind and brush up again on some of your C.A.R.D. skills, and whats more since the last league, another C.A.R.D. Revolution has taken place, so values will have changed, as could the results!

The Rules

The competition follows on from last years with pretty much the same rules, except this time we're making it more interesting!

Again, all entered players will get their names squeezed into a league table. Each week you are assigned a match which could be against any of the other entrants. Here's the twist to really test your skills however...

This time, when a match is assigned to you, you'll also be given match rules and a match location. Why? Because it'll change with each match you play! This will be done fairly however so there's no need to worry about that. Afterall, are you a man or a mouse?

It could happen anytime and anywhere......with any kind of rules!

When you've played your match, the result is saved and entered into the League Table adjusting your position on the leaderboard. If you win, you gain 6 points! If you lose, you gain 0 points! If you play until time out, then its 3 points a piece.

We've decided to hold one now so by the time it actually starts, summer is here and everyones got some spare time and not hussled up with exams, homework, etc etc! We're also doing it because we know there is a fair bit of competition action out there aswell as love for this dying episode we don't want to see take the high road so soon. It's been a while since we last had a competition so we want to get you back in the spirit!

How to Enter

To enter is easy peasy! Simply E-Mail lee-yoshi@ragol.co.uk or post in this Ragol.co.uk Forum Thread (Click!) with your:

Entries are open for over a week (Deadline: Monday 11th July - Midnight). To be a part of this competition, you will obviously need to have both a Nintendo Gamecube console, and a working copy of Phantasy Star Online: Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution, aswell as online access and a valid Hunters License for the duration of the competition, so that you can play online!

It doesn't matter where you live, what language you speak (As long as you can at least understand english to the point where you have read and understood the rules, and match-up fixtures)., and you don't even have to be a member of our forums (Although it helps!). However we do ask that you are a sensible player who plays in line with SEGA's online terms and conditions (I.e. You're a legitimate player!) and keeps abusive language to him/herself!

Your ideal!Oh and finally up for grabs is another position on our great Ragol.co.uk Hall of Fame. Get your name, in our Hall of Fame, forever and ever!

All the final rules and guidelines for play will be up and available in a Ragol.co.uk Article after entries have closed. If there are not enough entries, the competition will not run ;_;

This past week it was Sonic the Hedgehog's 14th Birthday! 14 already? Wow, how time flies when you're having fun on some of his great games that have spanned the generations of console from start to finish!

To celebrate this, SEGA of Europe wanted to you recognise by building your own birthday cake for him out of a set of paper models (Pretty much a print, cut out, and glue together job). Being set the challenge, i decided to give it a go... and well here it is, my way to honour the great blue hedgehog!

Snippy!Haha! It could have very well taken days (In fact it did, because there was so much cutting!), but the starting point was of course, to get it all cut out.

Well, better get starting on 3 pages worth, yes thats 3 pages worth of cutting out very awkwardly shapes. By the time i had finished, my hands hurt... a lot!

Yes! A Candle!Lots of bloody candles!

Candles! Yay! Err... i think not! 14 very small, fiddley, and curvy edges to cut around. I tell you, this was not for the weak at heart, i wish i had used something other then scissors, maybe a butchers knife or something...

Almost Done!

Glue Side A to Edge 6 :/

After hours of using sh*tty glue that doesn't do exactly what it says on the tin, and mindless cussing... "STICK DAMMIT!", the candles were up, and all that was left to do was to glue the layers together...

Craptacular!

Happy Birthday Sonic!

And there it is. Amazing isn't it? Excuse the wonky sides, the crappy cutting out, the dodgy gluing... WELL I DON'T SEE YOUR BIRTHDAY CAKE BUDDY!

... Happy 14th Birthday Sonic, may your 15th cause SEGA of Europe to come up with something different and much easier to use to celebrate it!

Got something to say?
