About Us

Providing its readers with original, reliable and frequent content related to Sega's popular console Role Playing Game 'Phantasy Star Online' - Ragol.co.uk is continuously striving to grow and evolve. Establishing itself as a non-profit site dedicated to and run by its own fans has proven successful in that Ragol.co.uk is now acknowledged as being one of the foremost information resources within the Phantasy Star Community.

INTRODUCTION…

Since Ragol.co.uk went live, way back in March, the site has had a steady flow of visitors. At present we have just under 300 members on the Forums with over 900 Threads and over 13,000 Posts, visits to the site over the last month hit the 11,000 mark, whereas the first month after it went live, we received only 210 visitors. When Ragol.co.uk went live, it didn’t have that much in the way of content; the initial plan was to entice people to the site with a great layout and design, then the content to follow. As of now we have updated and added several new sections…

MAG DATABASE

The Mag Database has been subject to a lot of change since Ragol.co.uk went live, at the moment it contains listings of all Episode I & II Mags with very detailed descriptions of each individual Mag. The whole Mag section has been designed for the easiest navigation we thought possible; Upon viewing the Mags page you are greeted with a listing of all Episode I & II Mags – There are two links at the top of the page, one opens a new page with Feeding Charts for Episode I, the other link opens a page with Feeding Charts and Formulae for Episode II Mags.

DROP CHARTS

The Drop Charts were one of the first things to be added, it tells you what Section ID finds certain Rare Items and what monster can drop it. It also shows what type of Item is found the most and least by each ID, what kind of Materials they find and also which Mag Group the ID falls into. Currently all the Drop Charts are for Ultimate mode only, with both findings for Episode I & II. We may add the drops for different modes in the future.

ITEM DATABASE

The Item Database is a newer part of the site, still being updated, by you! The idea is to allow you to send in any items you find and they will be automatically added to the database! We felt this was a good way to get a more complete and comprehensive collection of items, and gives you a chance to contribute and take part in the site. We also have a search function for those of you that are too lazy to search for a certain item manually!

CHARACTER DATABASE

In our Character Database we have detailed information about each class; including their statistics for Level 1 and 200 from both Version 2 and Episode I & II. We have also added what Weapons each class can use, and also what Techniques they can learn and the limits of them. Also it tells you the Materials limits on each class.

EPISODE 3 AND CARD DATABASE

The most recent addition to the site, and probably the first PSO fan site to have a Card Database! It has been divided up into subsections for each type of card, so it’s easier to navigate and find what you’re looking for. Since PSO EP III isn’t out in the UK yet, it’s hard to update and translate from the Japanese Version. We have also added two new Forum Sections to tie in with this; “Battle, Tournament & Quest Modes” and “Card Findings”. As we come to know more about the game, more information will be added.

GUIDES & WALKTHROUGHS

If you’re having problems completing certain Quests, or making that damned Rare Mag, this is the place to come! We have a lot of guides ranging from Quest and Challenge Mode Walkthroughs, Mag Guides to how to set up your Gamecube for going online. This section receives constant updates, with each new Quest that’s released we will try to provide a guide as soon as possible. Again this section has a search function if you are looking for something specific.

DOWNLOADS & CALCULATORS

Many useful tools can be found in these sections – such as BeatX; useful for changing PSO Beat time into real time, Mag Timer; helpful to increase the speed of feeding and raising a Mag and Material Tracker; to help you keep count of what Materials you have used on you Character. Perhaps the most useful tool we have on offer is the “Mag Calculator”, it will help you to plan out a specific Mag, it will tell you what items are best for it’s diet, Section ID, Class and Gender needed to raise each Mag. It is available to use Online, which means it requires no downloads! An exclusive to Ragol.co.uk

FORUMS

If you have any problem at all, this is the place to ask for help. If you’d like to set up a trade, this is the place to do so. If you’d like to just have a general chat, this is the place to chat! The most popular part of the site and an awesome source for information – Talk to fellow Hunters and get first hand tips and information on the world of PSO. With the release of PSO EP III in Japan, we have opened up two new sections on the forums; “Battle, Tournament & Quest Modes” and “Card Findings”.

THE FUTURE… ?

The future of Ragol.co.uk looks bright – with the release of Episode III we have our work cut out with making new Guides, Databases and so forth! The best thing about Ragol.co.uk is that there is always something new to look at or talk about, with the more members and visits we get, we try to keep Ragol.co.uk a consolidated resource for all things Phantasy Star. Stay tuned…
